Triathlon Week | Lesley Mettler
Lesley has been an athlete all her life. Join one of her classes and you’re sure to be inspired and learn an array of new tips. Her enthusiasm and motto of “fitness can be fun” is contagious.
Growing up in Seattle, at the young age of 10 she was winning field days at school and gathering medals to bring home. It was during her high school years, while she was competing in track and cross country, that she was inspired by her high school physiology teacher to learn more about anatomy, physiology, and physical performance…and ultimately shaped her future. Coach Lesley went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science, with a pre-medical emphasis and a Minor in Nutrition. She has competed in over 15 marathons across the U.S. and made her foray into the sport of Ironman triathlons in 2006, qualifying and competing in Ironman Kona, Hawaii.
