Change Your Mind, Change Your Body: Emotional Wellness & Weight Loss® | Jody Miller

Taking care of your self… your body, mind and spirit is a full time job. With all of the other demands in life including work and family, it’s no wonder our personal health and wellness can so easily fall to the bottom of the priority list. Jody Miller, Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, works with clients to help them to achieve weight loss and fitness goals, ultimately helping them to reduce their risk of chronic disease and to promote a long and healthy life.

The Change Your Mind, Change Your Body® workshop takes a comprehensive, holistic and very compassionate approach to the struggle of taking the best care of ourselves possible, losing weight and keeping it off. The Ranch version of the workshop (exclusively designed for Rancho La Puerta) includes an evening introductory presentation followed by four interactive sessions throughout the week. Participation in the full series is encouraged to gain the most benefit, but if you can’t make it to all, you are welcome to come to the sessions that your schedule will permit.

The workshop is designed for those who have significant weight to lose as well as those who are trying to maintain a healthy weight, and addresses the needs of every fitness level from those just getting started to the avid competitive athlete. The most unique aspect of the Change Your Mind, Change Your BodyÒ philosophy is that it takes into consideration individual life circumstances so that every participant can personalize their experience.

By the end of your Ranch visit, you will be ready to return home with a better understanding as to why diets don’t work, changed your definition of weight loss success, identified stressors and behavior patterns that are holding you back, and learned a myriad of strategies that will help you achieve your goals and optimal lifelong health.

Workshop topics include:
Readiness - Setting Process Goals - Healthy Eating - Exercise - Sleep – Emotional Eating – Stress – Boosting Metabolism – Life Balance – Defenses and Coping - Positive Psychology and Happiness – Lapse Prevention – Behavior Change and Breaking the Cycle
