Amy Duffey, a former dancer and psychotherapist, has been a Bar Method instructor for 11 years and is one of the owners of The Bar Method SoHo in New York City. Prior to relocating from San Francisco 3 years ago to launch The Bar Method New York City, she had the privilege of working under the direction and mentorship of Burr Leonard, Bar Method founder and franchisor. In addition to operating a Bar Method studio and teaching daily, Amy holds a position with The Bar Method franchising company as a national instructor trainer. Amy, along with her two business partners, is currently working on a second studio location on 5th Avenue in midtown Manhattan.
Her educational background includes a B.A. in psychology from The Pennsylvania State University and an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Temple University. Amy is passionate about teaching and relishes each opportunity to bring the unique experience of The Bar Method to her students.
