Dr. Henry holds a medical degree from the University of Texas. She completed her residency at Stanford University Medical Center in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry). Dr. Henry is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and is a licensed Physician and Surgeon for the State of California.
Dr. Henry's private practice empowers communities through medical knowledge and centers on treating the whole person and family. She has presented numerous lectures in her specialty and is working on a book about Happiness, where she applies the cardinal Rehabilitation rules. This work is based on years of experience with patients and their families as they transition through catastrophic life altering medical events such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury and medical conditions that affect the view of self as presently understood.
Currently, Dr. Henry has a medical practice in Oakland and Los Angeles California. She also serves on pharmaceutical advisory boards and volunteers with Free the Children, a non-profit organization helping children through education.
Dr. Henry believes in the healing powers of pet therapy and believes that alternative medicine is the other hand—that we benefit from using both Eastern and Western approaches to compliment and nurture health and balance.
Dr. Henry served as Co-Director for the St. Vincent Free Medical Clinic in Galveston, Texas and provided Physician Coverage for the U.S. Track and Field National Meet at Stanford University, the USA Taekwondo Nationals, and Men's Gymnastics competitions.
