Dr. Rosenberg will present a series of programs this week:
INSIGHT TO WELLNESS: FITNESS, HEALTH AND VITALITY FOR LIFE!
Regular physical activity has many benefits including enhancing muscle strength and endurance, controlling weight, improving mood, and combating health conditions such as heart disease, stroke, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes and depression. Yet, most of us find plenty of excuses for not exercising and we neglect to eat properly and regularly. Our lives are overly ‘busy’, and we experience chronic stress. This discussion will help you to understand causes of disease, and will set the stage for adoption of a long-term plan to reap great health benefits from an improved fitness and nutrition program.
RELAX YOUR MIND, HEAL YOUR BODY!
Stress plays a dramatic role in development of disease. This discussion focuses on hitting your pause button and engaging in relaxation practices on a regular basis such as breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, exercise, meditation and yoga. Your good health and survival depend on it!
EAT YOUR MEDICINE: NUTRITION AND NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS MADE SIMPLE!
What is a healthy diet? How can you adhere to a healthy diet without sacrificing convenience, restaurant meals, or your favorite foods? This session will help you to understand principles of good nutrition, how to improve eating habits and will offer suggestions for use of supplements to support your metabolism. For those who struggle with ‘diets’, keys to successful weight loss and waist removal will be discussed.
READY. SET. TAKE ACTION!
After a great week at the Ranch, how do you sustain and implement what you have learned when you return home? The session will offer a practical approach to setting realistic goals and adhering to your personal program. “There are risks and costs to action. But they are far less than the long range risks of comfortable inaction” John F. Kennedy.
