February at Rancho La Puerta: Friendship!

Friendship is a gift.  A good friend should be trustworthy, supportive, fun to be around and take time to remain connected. February is a good month to discover new friends and add depth to your existing friendships. With over 50 fun, exploratory, and informative Ranch classes a day, you will be bound to make new friends and nurture your existing friendships along the way.

January 30 – February 6
Broadway Week | Larry Lane & Shelley Estes

LaneEstes11Larry Lane made his professional debut in the musical Best Little Whorehouse in Texas working with famed choreographer/director Tommy Tune. In Broadway Tours he performed the role of “Mendel” in Hershel Bernardi’s production of Fiddler on the Roof, of “Gregory Gardner” in A Chorus Line and “The Tango Dancer” in Evita. – A graduate of the Professional Acting Program at Southern Methodist University, Larry most recently appeared on stage as a special guest artist for the Bruce Wood Dance Project filmed for PBS.

Shelley Estes, B.S.E., N.A.S.M, A.C.E, a native of Dallas, Texas, has combined her love of dance, Pilates, teaching and her commitment to fitness and wellness throughout her life as a vocation and avocation. Shelley has spent the last 25 years as a professional dancer, teacher, gymnastics coach, fitness professional, and Pilates Instructor and the last four years teaching Pilates to the dance majors at Southern Methodist University as an adjunct lecturer. – See more here.

Sexuality and Health | Pepper Schwartz, Ph.D.

Pepper SchwartzSexuality not only feels good – it may actually make you healthier – physically as well as mentally.Pepper Schwartz, Ph.D., is a sociology professor at the University of Washington in Seattle and holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was a Woodrow Wilson Fellow; and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology from Yale. She has authored 15 books and co-authored Glamour magazine’s monthly “Sex and Health” column for years. GYROKINESIS® | Gina Muensterkoetter

It incorporates many key principles from yoga, dance, gymnastics and Tai Chi. Gina Muensterkoetter is Educational and Executive Assistant to GYROTONIC®’s founder, Juliu Horvath. Her academic education includes a degree in sports and biology and a degree in sports therapy from the Technische Universitaet Munich.
