Recommended by Hippocrates as early as 400 BC, massage has long been recognized as an important adjunct to healing. Massage delivers some of the benefits of exercise: it tones muscles, increases circulation, eases tension, and releases endorphins.
Arrive early if you can, and indulge in a sauna or whirlpool, as this will loosen muscles as well as put you in relaxed frame of mind. Take a warm shower just before your massage, if possible, and change into a robe. Your therapist will come to meet you at the appointed time. You will take off your robe in private and lie down beneath a sheet, and you will be nude during your treatment, but modesty will be preserved with a sheet. During your massage, please communicate if something feels especially good, or causes you discomfort.

The Ranch now offers massages and beauty salon services on Saturdays, 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Book a soothing massage (Relaxation, Therapeutic, Energy Balance, Sports or Back & Neck) to enjoy before your departure or after your arrival. (Note: Sunday through Friday appointment hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
