Taco Class with Chef Denise Roa

Here is an inside look at our taco cooking class, Tacos Y Tacos Y Mas Tacos Menu, featured at our cooking school, La Cocina Que Canta, with Chef Denise Roa.  The menu featured authentic techniques such as making homemade corn tortillas and roasting prickly pears called Nopales which are native to the region.  As you can see from the slideshow, the end result was beautiful and delicious food.  I was in charge of making the Nopales Salad which was definitely new for me.  I’ve never cooked with prickly pear before, but I was surprised at how easy it was…and yummy.  Stay tuned for some recipes from the class!
