Eating for Energy – Monday 1:00 p.m.

Come learn about which foods to choose to provide energy to sustain you through your day and throughout your life. Jill will provide an overview of her top food choices for health.

Mindful Eating – Tuesday 1:00 p.m.

Jill will review and discuss what mindful eating is, how to do it and the tools that you can take with you to sustain it as you move through life. Keeping mindful eating in mind might be easier than you think.

Superfoods: Myth or Miracle – Wednesday 1:00 p.m.

What are superfoods? Are they important to include in your diet? Do they cure what ails you? Jill will discuss superfoods such as acai, hemp, chia, flax and many more.

Your Gut, Your Health: Probiotics and Beyond – Thursday 1:00 p.m.

Come learn about the role that a “healthy and happy” gut plays in your overall health from head to toe, and everywhere in between. Jill will discuss prebiotics, probiotics and what you can do to maintain good gut health.

 

Jill NussinowJill Nussinow is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Florida International Universtity who has been an adjunct instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College for almost 30 years. During that time she has worked with individuals and groups in a variety of ways. Jill has consulted with companies such as Amy’s Kitchen, Lotus Foods and Kaiser Permanente. While consulting with Kaiser she worked on the highly successful Healthy Heart Project (based on the work of Dean Ornish, M.D.) and additionally helped them revamp their cafeteria menu. Jill has spoken to a wide variety of professional and consumer groups on a breadth of nutrition subjects from Healthy Eating for the Holidays and Simple Ways to Boost Your Health through Eating Well, to Mushrooms for Health and Nutrition, Spice it Up for Nutrition and Flavor and Why Fermented Foods Belong in Your Life. She is a featured speaker at the Annual Heirloom Exposition, Mother Earth News Fairs (throughout the U.S.), SOMA (Sonoma County) Mushroom Camp, as well as vegetarian festivals and conferences throughout the U.S. She has been part of the teaching team at the McDougall program for more than 15 years. She has authored 4 cookbooks and written chapters in 2 other nutrition-related books and has produced 3 cooking DVDs . Jill is based in Northern California.
